About adopting

Why adopt?

All the cats that come into the care of Yorkshire Cat Rescue need new homes. Adopting one of these cats or kittens gives that cat their chance at a loving home. Our cats need you!

Our team can advise you on what cat or kitten will work well with your family and lifestyle.  We can offer advice throughout the adoption process and will continue to be there for you and your cat whenever you need us.

All our cats have been neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, treated for parasites and have received any other medical care they needed.  We do ask for an adoption fee to help with these costs but you can be assured that your cat has had all the routine veterinary care they need for their new start in life.

Sadly there are many unwanted cats and kittens still out there.  By adopting you become part of the solution.

Our centre is now open for adoption show rounds of adult cats between 11am and 3pm every day, except Wednesdays. This is for adult cats that are available and on site. We do not do meet and greets with kittens as they are all in foster and only come back to our centre when they have been reserved online for adoptions.
