Donating to our shops

Re-opening after Coronavirus:

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: All shops will now take any donations including large ones without booking. Please note they would like to be contacted in advance if the donations are large just to let them know you will be dropping them off.  x

Halifax:  Now open. The opening hours of the shop will be 09.30-4.30 Monday-Saturday. The shop will now take donations any day of the week and you do not need to book, however for any large donations please call 01422 322760 so the shop can arrange a day and time for you to drop off.

Keighley: Now open. The opening hours of the shop will be 09.30-4.30 Monday-Saturday - with the exception of Tuesdays where the shop will open at 10am. The shop will now take donations any day of the week and you do not need to book, but please call 01535 611283 if your donations are large so the shop are aware.

Brighouse: Now open. The opening hours of the shop will be 09:30 - 4.30pm Monday- Saturday. The shop will now take donations any day of the week and you do not need to book, but please call 01484 718366 if your donations are large so the shop are aware.

Skipton: Now Open. The opening hours of the shop will be 09.30-4.30 Monday - Saturday. The shop will now take donations any day of the week and you do not need to book, but please call 01756 229151 if your donations are large so the shop are aware.

Volunteering: We are after volunteers to help us with meeting and greeting at the door, and to help with other jobs including the till and pricing items. If you are local to any of the shops and would be interested please contact Kathy on [email protected].

Thank you for your support at this difficult time.

Donations are what we need.  Without these we would not exist !!

If you are revamping or de-cluttering your home or clearing out a wardrobe then we will gratefully accept your unwanted items. This can be a car load or just a few items, all of which will raise vital funds required for the running costs at Yorkshire Cat Rescue. All donations are welcome (with a few exceptions, listed at the bottom of this page). If we, for some reason, are unable to sell a donated item we ensure to recycle these whenever it is possible.

If you are a UK taxpayer you can make a Gift Aid declaration so that when we sell your items we can apply Gift Aid and raise an extra 25%.  Please ask our staff for details when you donate.

We collect items for free if you have too many to carry and no means of transport or if you want to donate a small piece of furniture. All we need you to do is contact the shop that is within your area.

Our shop staff are happy for you to drop your donations off at our shops. There is a free parking area outside our Keighley shop for loading and unloading.

Whilst Yorkshire Cat Rescue is extremely grateful for all donations regrettably there are certain items we can not accept. This is as we are legally unable to sell them or there is no market for the items any longer and we would have to dispose of them at a cost to the charity.

If a donor has any queries then they can contact a member of the team who will gladly help.
