Re-opening after Coronavirus:

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: Please can you telephone the shops in advance before you drop off any donation first. We have had instances where people have just turned up and the shops have had to say no and we do not want anyone to think we are not grateful or appreciative of their support. The new way of working has been difficult for our staff too so please help to make things easier by telephoning them first so they can book you in to drop off your donations. Thank you. x

Donations of items to sell: Thank you to everyone who has offered donations to us.  The whole of Yorkshire has been decluttering we think!  Due to the restrictions imposed on us, we have to keep all newly donated goods for 72 hours before we can open them and sort them.  This means that storage space is limited.  If you have things to donate, please try to hang onto them for a little while and please phone the shop before you bring them to check that we have room to put them. Donations also need to be brought in bags you do not want returning, and please try not to overfill them due to manual handling.

Volunteering: We are after volunteers to help us with meeting and greeting at the door, and to hang quarantined stock. If you are local to any of the shops and would be interested please contact Kathy on [email protected]. We are in desperate need of more volunteers for our Brighouse & Skipton shops.

Thank you for your support at this difficult time.

Donations are what we need.  Without these we would not exist !!

If you are revamping or de-cluttering your home or clearing out a wardrobe then we will gratefully accept your unwanted items. This can be a car load or just a few items, all of which will raise vital funds required for the running costs at Yorkshire Cat Rescue. All donations are welcome (with a few exceptions, listed at the bottom of this page). If we, for some reason, are unable to sell a donated item we ensure to recycle these whenever it is possible.

If you are a UK taxpayer you can make a Gift Aid declaration so that when we sell your items we can apply Gift Aid and raise an extra 25%.  Please ask our staff for details when you donate.

We collect items for free if you have too many to carry and no means of transport or if you want to donate a small piece of furniture. All we need you to do is contact the shop that is within your area.

Our shop staff are happy for you to drop your donations off at our shops. There is a free parking area outside our Keighley shop for loading and unloading.

Whilst Yorkshire Cat Rescue is extremely grateful for all donations regrettably there are certain items we can not accept. This is as we are legally unable to sell them or there is no market for the items any longer and we would have to dispose of them at a cost to the charity.

If a donor has any queries then they can contact a member of the team who will gladly help.
