Yorkshire Cat Rescue has received a large bundle of Arden Grange cat food after being nominated by the public in a country-wide competition on social media. The donation will help to feed the rescue animals at the centre and couldn’t have come at a more critical time.

As part of its 25-year celebrations, Arden Grange asked its followers on social media to nominate their favourite independent animal charities for entry into a prize draw. There were over 2200 nominations and 25 winners were selected at random, with each receiving 25 x large bags of Arden Grange dog or cat food. In total Arden Grange has donated over 40,000 dog and cat meals to independent animal rescue charities across the UK.

Sara founder of Yorkshire Cat Rescue said:

“The global pandemic has had a huge impact on independent animal rescues in the UK, with many having to navigate through a difficult period of reduced income versus an increase in animals needing help. The winter is always a more difficult period for us as fund-raising activities also slow down, so food donations are always a huge help.”

With a love of animals at its core and as an independent company itself, Arden Grange has given support to independent rescue centres with its annual charity drive for many years. The outstanding benefits of Arden Grange naturally hypoallergenic pet foods can help with common ailments found in rescue dogs and cats arriving at shelters. Whether they are under or overweight, in poor condition, stressed or fussy with food, the highly nutritious blend of ingredients in Arden Grange foods can aid improvement and recovery.

Now, more than ever, independent rescues need your help. A small contribution could make  a big difference, either with a monetary donation, food or by volunteering your time this season. Find out how you can support Yorkshire Cat Rescue and visit their website.
