This helpless little girl came to us after being found in a garden with what looked like injuries to her back legs and hips - most likely done by a car. The poor thing could barely walk and needed urgent care at the vets. She also had the worst case of fleas we had ever seen, and with her legs being so badly damaged she wouldn't have been able to scratch and must have been so uncomfortable and in so much pain.

We rushed her to our vets as soon as we got her and they realised very quickly that she had severe breaks on both sides of her pelvis which needed to be treated by a specialist. We knew without treatment Lorne would not make it, so we sent her off to see the specialist vet. They told us the type of surgery Lorne needed would be very complex and later on we found out that it was one of the most complicated operations they had done for quite a long time.

Poor Lorne has had to have pins put in both sides of her pelvis, and her pelvis repaired. As the surgery was so complex she now needs 6 weeks of cage rest out in foster before she can even be considered for adoption. This surgery has cost us £4,000 and the payment was made up front. We are appealing out to anyone to please help us to cover the cost of this treatment by making a donation, or better still a regular donation as having  a few pounds extra each month will help us to say yes to more cats like Lorne who so desperately need love and care.

Lorne is around four months old and has been through so much trauma already, but we know she has a long life ahead of her. Any contribution you can make will have allowed us to give her this chance to live her life and we will be so grateful for any support you can give.

Thank you x
