As many of you will be aware, Sara has been looking to take a step back from her leadership of Yorkshire Cat Rescue and the Trustees are pleased to announce that Lynn Nicholls will be taking over Sara's role as CEO with effect from 3 January 2023.

Sara will continue to support and work with the Charity and assist in the transition of responsibilities to Lynn. To reflect her new role and contribution over the years Sara will assume the title of Founder. As the Founder of the Charity, Sara has worked tirelessly over the last 30 years to grow and develop Yorkshire Cat Rescue into the successful organisation it is today and has been responsible for saving literally 1000s of cats and kittens.

She has been ably supported by her husband Colin. Without the dedication and determination of Sara and Colin and the countless hours they have devoted to our cause, there would literally be no Yorkshire Cat Rescue. The Trustees would like to place on record their gratitude and thanks to Sara and Colin and wish them well in their move to retirement. We have been lucky to have the opportunity to appoint Lynn to work with us in taking Yorkshire Cat Rescue to the next stage of its development.

Some of you may know Lynn as she has been a fosterer, supporter and fundraiser for several years. Over the last 20 years Lynn has held a number of senior management roles in the retail and service sectors and has all the management, leadership and financial skills needed to take the Charity forward. She has shown the ability to lead, inspire and develop effective teams, she has also recently set up and grown her own successful business.

I am sure you will all do your utmost to help her settle into her new role and wholeheartedly support her as she strengthens and grows our Charity.
