A meeting with an MP!

An important afternoon...

We held a meeting with our local MP Robbie Moore to tell him about some of the issues we face, including lack of funding, helping people (not just cats) and the real issues we face with people not having an understanding of cat welfare and issues so that they don’t overbreed etc.

Robbie was very interested and hopefully will take a few things away with him (not kittens though!). There is new legislation coming soon, relating to animal welfare centres and we explained how hard legislation is to enforce and how animal welfare issues should be a Government not a charity responsibility.

We also told him the issues we are facing with the difficulties of banking cash. A very positive visit and let’s hope something comes of it!
