We URGENTLY need your help to fund little Geraldine's treatment!!

Please meet Geraldine who is 4 months old and was involved in a road traffic traffic accident that has left her in an absolute state. Geraldine was found at the side of the road dragging both her back legs behind her in excruciating pain. She was very quickly raced to the vets and it's not good news...

The vets determined that this poor girl had been hit by a car and left to suffer and that the car must have gone completely over her back end. It has completely crushed her pelvis on both sides and broken it in 3 different places. Both her femoral heads have serve damage and need fixing as the fractures are on/near her growth plates.

The crushing of her pelvis has also narrowed her bowels making it harder for her to go to the toilet and it has also left lots of tiny bone fragments scatted around inside of her that will need clearing up 💔

Kittens heal super fast and are very adaptable but the bad news is that this is now working against Geraldine as her body fights to repair itself, and her bones are now fusing and healing back together but in the wrong places!!

It's urgent that we get Geraldine sorted as quickly as possible as the longer we wait the more the bones will fuse and the harder her recovery will be. We've spoken to 2 separate Orthopaedic specialist to get the best advice we can on what we can do for this poor girl and they feel confident that they can fix her pelvis with a major surgery and possibly a couple more to clean things up.

Her pain is currently under control so we feel that it's right to fight for her and at least try give her the best chance for the future. In our opinion the short term sacrifice well outweighs the long term benefits of giving her a long and happy life. She is so young and has her entire life ahead of her!!!

The incredible vets at Paragon Referrals will be taking on Geraldine's surgeries but even with our charity discount we are looking at a £6-8,500 vet bill to cover the cost of her care.

Our current vet bill for this month is already £30,000 after all our recent intakes, our 16 multi-cat rescue, Roger and his eye enucleation, Elsie's eye treatment, Rupert's leg amputation and now Stevie and his leg amputation and care!

ANY AMOUNT you can spare would mean the world. We are so sorry to have to ask you again but without your help we will have to refuse any more intakes as we simply can't afford it. That would break our hearts as it would mean turning down innocent babies who need our help. Please don't put yourself out of pocket but if you are able to donate it would be hugely appreciated by our entire team... and of course little Geraldine.
