Kitten season is a very manic and extremely expensive time of year for us as a charity. Hundreds and hundreds of kittens will be born to cats out on the streets, or in homes where people can no longer look after them. Every kitten season is the same and we only expect the numbers of kittens born to go up and up each year.

We have had 3 litters of kittens born just in the last week so we know that kitten season is starting. To care and make sure every kitten is well fed, socialised and looked after costs us alot of money. For example we need 20 pouches of food per day for every mum cat and her litter of kittens. When the kittens are quite young and it's just mum to feed it tends to be around 4-6 pouches but that's including biscuits too!

Mum cat and kittens at Yorkshire Cat Rescue

At a time where things have been extremely difficult for us we would really appreciate it if anyone could donate some wet kitten and cat food, litter, toys, or even something from our Amazon Wishlist. You could also make a donation, or if you can afford it, please donate monthly so that we will have the funds to care for our kittens. Whatever you choose to do is up to you but please know anything you donate will make a huge difference.

Without your donations kittens would be left to grow up on the streets, fighting for survival with no chance at a better life. Here at Yorkshire Cat Rescue we will take in as many cats and kittens as we can, get them neutered and microchipped as soon as they're old enough and then find them loving new homes where they can feel safe and warm. Please help us to continue our work today - we cannot do what we do without your support.

Thank you x
