Volunteering at Our Shops
Our charity shops provide a vital source of funds for us. Our shop managers work very hard to ensure that all the donated items make as much money for our work as possible. However, they need lots of volunteers to help them. If you would like to find out more, please call into the shops any day except Sunday and ask for the manager.
Our shops are situated at 78-80 Cavendish Street, Keighley, BD21 3RL and 38 Southgate Halifax, HX1 1DL.
Shop floor vacancies
We need volunteers to man the till. You will be trained and given supervision until you feel confident.
We need shop floor volunteers – to keep the shop tidy and stocked, to accept donations of stock, to be able to take donations down to our sorting area in the basement.
We need people who can dress the window and create displays in the shop.
Back room vacancies
We need volunteers to help sort, hang, steam and ticket donated clothes.
We need volunteers with specialist knowledge of collectables and other higher value items to be able to identify and describe them for sale on online auction sites such as eBay and Amazon. And people with an interest in jewellery or other such items who can help sort them and display them.
We are also hoping to build teams who will manage our online sales or help out with such tasks as photography and packing items to post – please tell the manager if this interests you and we will give you more details as this develops.
